Jen Burke (Owner and instructor)
Group exercise instructor, Personal Trainer and Small Group Trainer
Jen has been working in the fitness industry for 17+ years teaching group exercise classes, small group personal training and individualized personal training. She is an ACE certified Group Exercise Instructor and a NASM Personal Trainer. She is a 200-hour yoga instructor through SCW and possesses multiple TRX qualifications. Jen has earned her certification for CardioYoga (TM) and Warrior Rhythm (TM) and foam rolling! Jen is licensed to teach TurboKick Live (R) and PiYo Live (R), as well as SH1FT (R) and L1FT (R). She has added SoulFusion (TM) and BarreFusion (TM) to our arsenal , too! She has been teaching HIIT based formats for many years. She also possesses a specialty in nutrition through ACE. Jen has been a presenter of fitness workshops for fitness professionals through a Syracuse-based company, Flow Fitness Training for several years, as well and has master trained with a national fitness company. Outside of the studio, Jen has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 26 years and is currently working with kindergarten through grade 5.
Heather has been a fitness instructor for the past 15+ years. She holds her 200 hour yoga certification from Atha (formerly Pele) Yoga studio. She is also trained in rhythm based cycling from Compass Cycle & Flow studio. Over the years she has also taught a variety of strength classes, including P90x live. Heather has been a teacher in the Rochester City School District for over 17 years as well. She is a Rochester native and loves to share her passion for fitness with her friends, colleagues and students.
Karyn has been working as a fitness instructor for 15+ years. She holds a Group Exercise certification from NAFC, along with certifications in Cycling, Bootcamp, CardioKick and Pilates. Outside of the studio, Karyn is an avid runner and has competed 4 full marathons.
Maria has been licensed and teaching Zumba Fitness since 2008. She shares, "Zumba has brought so much to my life. Through this Latin Rhythm infused format called Zumba Fitness, I’ve made so many friends that have become family. I’ve been to Zumba Conventions and ZIN Jams to further my knowledge. I love teaching Zumba Fitness because I believe through music and dance you can bring so much happiness to people".
Chris - During the day, Chris is a Teaching Assistant in a 12:1:4 high school life skills program. I have been a Teacher Assistant in West Irondequoit for 21years.
She is certified in Barre Above level 1 and level 2, Barre, booty and band, Pilates, Yoga 1, Strength training past 50, Body Chisel and Indoor cycling.
Melissa - Melissa has been passionate about fitness for 30+ years and was recently certified in Pound. She always enjoys a variety of formats and has made many friends over the years through their shared love of fitness. She has been employed by Rochester Regional Health for 15 years. She is a mom of one daughter and two cats and lives with her husband in Greece.
Tabionne - Tay started boxing at 3 years old. He shares, "I was raised primarily by strong women(mom, grandma) who kept me in church and away from nonsense, drama, and distractions, as I grew up in the inner city." He went to school 39 for kindergarten through grade 6 and East High School. He played basketball grades 8-11. He graduated from high school in June of 2019. I love to play basketball and box, and be around family in my free time. "I love to help people, and it stands alone as my favorite thing to do. I love doing research and getting answers through results. I'm Christian, vegan, a certified fitness trainer and boxing specialist! What separates me from other trainers is my attention to detail and ability to teach and not just train someone. I focus on defense, footwork, repetition, and most importantly I make sure they understand what,why, and how to do whatever it is I’m showing them! I won’t ever move on before we fully got something down at the same time we will have fun."
